In the High Court at Phase 4 a Man Accused of Killing His Girlfriend Clamed she was a Habitual Drunkard and User of Hard Drugs

Murtala Magaji is a 30-year old fruit seller accused of killing Adama Idris his live-in girlfriend of 5 years.
He claimed he had previously asked her to desist from habitual drunkenness and use of hard drugs but she did not heed his advice. There however seem to be tales of an incident in the past when he once beat her to stupor.

The case is being judged by Hon. Justice Bello Kawu and was adjourned to April 25 2017. More details at the Punch.
