On Monday, Mr Ayuba Abok, a first time lawmaker and final year law student of the University of Jos, emerged Speaker of the 9th Plateau State House of Assembly.
He was nominated by Ibrahim Baba Hassan, representing Jos North-North constituency, who was one time Deputy Speaker of the house.
The nomination supported by another first timer, Mrs Esther Dusu, a member representing Jos North-West who defeated the former speaker, Peter Azi.
Mr. Ayuba Abok is representing Jos East constituency. He is presently a final year law student at UniJos and married with 2 children.
