Roger Stone, Presidential Donald Trump's political adviser and longtime friend, who has been facing trial for obstructing congressional investigation into Russian interference in the US presidential election of 2016, has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
The judge began by stating that he deserved harsh punishment for what he did and gave a lengthy speech insisting that "the truth still matters" before sentencing him. The US President has, however, questioned the trial and given a hint that Roger Stone may be granted a presidential pardon. Read more at the Washingtonpost.
