Election tribunal affirms Douye Diri as Bayelsa Governor

Today the Bayelsa State Governorship Election Tribunal unanimously dismissed the petition challenging the election Of Douye Diri as the Governor of Bayelsa State.

 

Affirming Douye Diri as Governor of Bayelsa State, the tribunal dismissed the petition, filed by Owei Woniwei of the Alliance for Democracy, for lack of merit and failure to prove the forgery allegations against the deputy governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo .
