Trailer collides with school bus in Enugu, 21 people dead

21 persons were reportedly dead with many others injured in a road accident at Mgbowo, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State on Wednesday. Many of the casualties were pupils of Presentation Nursery and Primary School, owned by the Catholic Diocese of Awgu.

 

A low-bed trailer belonging to a construction company, reportedly developed brake problems, lost control and rammed into the school bus, then into a welder’s shop, killing 21 persons and leaving many others injured.

The accident left many families mourning including a family reported to have lost three children in the incident.
