African Union strongly condemns violence from #EndSARS Protests in Nigeria

Moussa Faki Mahamat, the African Union Commission chairman, on Thursday, strongly condemned deadly violence in Nigeria’s biggest city Lagos which erupted on  October 20, during protests resulting to multiple deaths and injuries. He called on all parties to “dialogue”.

Moussa Faki appeals to all political and social actors to reject the use of violence and respect human rights and the rule of law. At least 56 people have died across the country since the protests began on October 8, with about 38 killed nationwide on Tuesday alone, according to Amnesty.
