Tonye Clinton Jaja, Nigerian Copyright Commission Board chairman has been sacked by President Buhari.



Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) board chairman, Tonye Clinton Jaja has been sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari with immediate effect, as contained in a letter dated October 15, signed by Tayo Akpata, Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice.

Jaja had sought for the suspension and investigation of NCC Director-General, John Asein, in a letter he wrote to the President, accusing Asien of alleged infractions. But five board members dissociated themselves from his action.They told the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, that they never endorsed Jaja’s move and that he acted on his own.
