The lawyer to the embattled former chief of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Wahab Shittu, has said that his client will be found not guilty of the alleged crimes. Mr. Shittu also claimed that some powerful government officials were not comfortable with Magu’s “incorruptible style of leadership” and preferred someone they could manipulate.
He further questioned why the Salami-led panel went beyond the time and powers granted to it and urged the President to make a informed decision and do the needful.
