NIN: FG suspends Officials over extortion at NIMC centres in Kaduna and Bauchi

Workers engaged in extortion at enrolment centres of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in Kaduna and Bauchi, have been ordered to be suspended by the the Federal Government. 

Following the outcry that some personnel of the Commission, particularly at enrolment centres in Kaduna and Bauchi, were capitalising on the rush for National Identification Number by the public to perpetrate fraudulent activities, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, ordered the immediate suspension of the staff members involved in the extortion of applicants at the NIMC offices in both states.
