FCTA establishes RUGA in 5 locations in Abuja, bans open grazing

Following the ban on open grazing by the Northern Governors Forum,  whixh described the practice as outdated, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has prohibited the open grazing of cattle in Abuja, the  nation's capital and establishes five locations for cattle grazing (RUGA)  in Abaji, Kwali and Kuje Area Councils.

This directive had been communicated to the leaders of Fulani herdsmen in Abuja with one month deadline for compliance.  A special team has been mandated to enforce compliance a d viokators would be sanctioned henceforth.
