Gunmen kidnap 27 students, kill one in Kagara community of Niger state

27 students of the Government Science College in Kagara community in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State were today, February 17, abducted by gunmen.

Secretary to the Government of Niger state, Ahmed Matane, disclosed this. Matane, said the gunmen stormed the school premises at about 2am, abducting the students as well as three members of staff and 12 members of family of the abducted staff. "As at this morning, they had kidnapped 27 students. One student was unfortunately shot dead," he said.
