U.S. Senate acquits Trump of Impeachment again

The Senate vote of 57-43 fell short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection after a five-day trial.

The Senate acquitted the former President in this historic second impeachment trial, finding him tmnot guilty of inciting the deadly Capitol riot.

Seven Republicans, however, joined the 50 Democrats to find him guilty, but the 57 votes fell short of a two-thirds majority needed to convict.
