President Biden has signed the $1.9-trillion COVID relief package into law a day earlier than expected

 

The impact of the $1400 per citizen authorization is a massive infusion of federal aid into the US economy aimed primarily at working families.


Announced just after 9 a.m. Pacific time on Thursday that they didn’t want to wait any longer, Chief of Staff Ron Klain tweeted (just after the White House added the Oval Office signing ceremony to the daily schedule)

“The enrolled bill arrived last night — so @POTUS is signing it today,”. “We want to move as fast as possible. We will hold our celebration of the signing on Friday, as planned, with Congressional leaders!”
