Reps halt disbursement of £4.2million recovered loot from Delta State

Following a motion sponsored by 9 members of the House of Representatives from Delta State, the House Representatives has asked the Federal Government to immediately halt the appropriation of 4.2 million Pounds looted funds recovered from the former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori.

Sponsor of the motion, Hon Ndudi Elumelu, said the money will be used for infrastructural developments in the State.  The House also asked the Federal Ministry of Finance and Attorney General of the Federation to furnish it with particulars relating to the recovered loot.
