"Abuja - Lokoja Highway to be completed by December 2021" - FG

The Federal Government yesterday said the contracts for the dualisation of the 196km Abuja-Abaji-Lokoja Highway which was awarded in 2006 by the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, would be completed by December 2021.

Funso Adebiyi, the Director of Highway, Construction and Rehabilitation, Ministry of Works and Housing,  announced the December 2021 completion deadline yesterday during the inspection tour of section one of the project (Zuba-Gwagwalada-Sheda axis), adding that the Government was committed to reducing crashes on the highway.
