Embattled CCT Chairman claims his ‘Assaulters’ chanted ‘secessionist and sectional slogans’

Following the recent viral video on social media involving him and a security guard at Banex Plaza, Abuja, Danladi Umar, the Code of Conduct Tribunal Chair has said he was attacked and injured by a mob that was "chanting secessionist and sectional slogans.”

He is also of the view that with an apology tendered to him by one of the suspected aggressors, the entire incident was avoidable and he feels "highly disappointed that my action in the public glare in a very brief moment has been misconstrued in the narrative floating across social media".
