Police Officer shot in an attack by gunmen at Gwagwalada is dead

The police inspector, Ambi John, who sustained injuries during the abduction of some residents by gunmen at Anguwar Samu in Tungan-Maje, Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja, in the early hours of Tuesday, is dead.

John, attached to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, was shot when the gunmen invaded the community, and was taken to hospital. The spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Mariam Yusuf, who confirmed the death of the police officer in a statement, said some arrests have been made.
