The Presidency has come under severe criticism for backing the embattled Minister of communication, Dr Isa Pantami, over alleged links to terrorist groups.
The Presidency, in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Thursday, said, “The administration stands behind Minister Pantami and all Nigerian citizens to ensure they receive fair treatment, fair prices, and fair protection in ICT services.” However, a cross-section of Nigerians, including members of the House of Representatives, the Nigerian Bar Association, and the Christian Association of Nigeria, slammed the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari, for protecting an alleged terrorist sympathiser. Some of them called on the Department of State Security (DSS) to investigate the matter.
