Agitation for Self-Determination is No Crime - Afenifere tells FG





In the wake of reports that operatives of the Department of State Services carried out a midnight attack on the residence of Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State, the Pro-Yoruba Group, Afenifere, is demanding the arrest and prosecution of those that attacked Sunday Igboho’s House days before his planned protest in Lagos.

According to Afenifere, even if Igboho committed any crime he should have been dealt with according to the law. They described the attack as reminiscence of Abacha’s style of governance, “when anyone who expressed opinions contrary to government’s position would be fatally attacked.”
