Air Peace management says the incident in Ilorin was a minor tyre burst

The Management of Air Peace has said that, contrary to reports on social media that an Air Peace plane crash-landed at the Ilorin airport as passengers escaped death, the incident which occurred on Friday Morning, when the B737-500 aircraft with registration number 5N-BQR was taxing on the runway, was a "minimal tyre burst" and passengers were later disembarked "seamlessly."

This was contained in a statement sent to the Press on Saturday describing the social media report as “sensational publication of falsehood.”
