I withdrew my son and daughter from public school because they were targets for abduction - Gov. El-Rufai

The son and daughter of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has been quietly withdrawn from a public school in the state because they were targets for abduction. 

According to the Governor in an interview with the Pidgin Service of the BBC, he put his son, Abubakar-Sadiq, in Kaduna Capital School to show his confidence in the public school system butbhas had to withdraw him now that bandits have made him a target following the stance by Kaduna State not to pay ransom and curb banditry. Elrufai believes the Bandits will probably not succeed in abducting his son because he has security personnel at his disposal but the lives of other children may be endangered, hence the withdrawal. His sister was also withdrawn from the same school.
