The 2021 Supplementary Appropriation
Bill of N982,729,695,343 targeted at the
provision of military hardware and COVID-19 vaccines has been assented
to by President Muhammadu Buhari on
Monday July 26.
Senior Special Assistant to the
President on National Assembly Matter (House of Representatives), Umar Ibrahim
el-Yakub made the announcement on behalf of the Presidency.
Meanwhile, the President is heading to
London today, Monday 26, for the Global
Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025
as well as an earlier scheduled
medical check-up. The summit will be co-hosted by Boris Johnson, the UK
Prime Minister, and President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya.
This is according to a
statement by Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, released on Monday,
July 26.
