After three court sessions, Igboho’s wife, Ropo has been released
but the activist is still in detention. The Cable reports that Igboho’s lawyers
and supporters have revealed that Federal Government did not file any charge
against Sunday Igboho when he was arraigned at Cour D’appal De Cotonou in Benin
Republic on Thursday. This has led to his matter being adjourned till July 26th.
Also, contrary to popular opinion,Benin Republic has no extradition agrrement
with Nigeria making it likely that Igboho won’t be repatriated.
