Chief Justice of Nigeria to be charged for a Crime Today

It is all over the news now that the Chief Justice of Nigeria will be charged before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) today, Monday 15th January, 2019 for false or none declaration of assets as a public officer. The man who started the story with his petition, Dennis Aghanya, has been identified as President Buhari's former aide, the president denied being aware of the charge and Aghanya himself has said that the presidency is not the sponsor behind his petition.

The opposition parties are among early reactors to the breaking news and seemed not to believe the president  not being aware with presidential aspirant of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, warning the president not to destabilise Nigeria with his "planned"removal of the CJN.

150 SANs are said to be lined up to defend the No.1 man in the judiciary. And in an interesting twist to the story the CJN seems to have already defend himself saying he forgot to declare his assets. Nigerians are still reeling with this revelation.
