FG plans to make Ahmed Lawan Senate President tomorrow - alleges CUPP

According to this report by the Guardian, the Coalition of United People's Party (CUPP) has raised an alarm alleging that the FG has released funds to motivate the APC members in the Senate and House to do some heckling when the NASS reconvene tomorrow.

Recall that there has been talks of sanctioning the President for most gross misconduct and constitutional breaches.

Well, according to CUPP there will be no sanctioning the President as the APC members have been summoned to execute a plan that will see the Senate leader Ahmed Lawan, becoming Senate President, while Femi Gbajabiamila would become the Speaker of the House of Representatives.  Also, Senators Hope Uzodimma may emerge the Deputy Senate President and Godswill Akpabio as the Senate Leader.

The statement alleging these plans was released to the press yesterday, according to the Guardian. Each senator will get $70, 000 and $40, 000 for each House member under the plan for what is called welfare. And the total $15million for this welfare has been sourced from NNPC, CBN, NDDC, NPA, NIMASA, a commercial bank and a company the owner of whom is a member of the cabal. Read more
