Indigenes of Katsina State Living in Bwari Area Council, who were Affected by the Dec. 25, 2017 Crisis may get Assistance from their State Governor

We reported here the violent clash that broke out on December 25, 2017 between the Gbagyi natives and Hausa residents in Bwari town, following the
turbaning of a Hausa traditional ruler known as “Sarkin Bwari” for the town.

The traditional ruler seat of the town has always been occupied by a Gbagyi traditional ruler known as “Esu Bwari”. The change reportedly resulted in possible death and the town’s major market was burnt down during the clash by the two tribesmen. A curfew was consequently imposed on the town.

The Katsina state governor, Gov. Aminu Masari, has reportedly sent its Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Mr Ahmad El-Marzuq, on a fact finding mission  to look into the hardship facing its business citizens carrying on business in Bwari town, Bwari Area Council. The indigenes who were victims of the December 25, 2017 crisis that resulted in the burning down of their market have reportedly written many complaints to the government of their state.

The Governor who has reportedly received many complaints from the indigenes would like to know how the matter is being handled.  His investigation team is to proffer solutions to alleviate the plight of those affected by the crisis.
