Two Brothers Allegedly Beat up Brother- inlaw for Refusing to take care of their Sister, his Wife


Two brothers, Isah Ismaila and Abdulrazaq Ismaila, who allegedly assaulted their brother-in-law, on Tuesday, are being prosecuted by the police. 
The brothers, who are Kubwa residents, are charged with criminal force, intimidation and assault after being arrested by SP Yunusa Abdullahi and his Kubwa Area Command team while on patrol along Jaji Street on the 26th of January.
The police prosecutor told the court that the brothers assaulted their brother-in-law, Hassan Halidu and threatened to kill him, if he failed to take care of their sister contrary to Sections 79, 264 and 397 of the Penal Code.
 The brothers have pleaded not guilty to the charges and their lawyer, Anenin Enabosi Esq, applied for the bail of the defendants in the most liberal terms which the judge, Ibrahim Balarabe, granted in the sum of N100, 000 each with one surety in like sum resident within the court’s jurisdiction.
The next adjourned date for the matter is Feb. 27 at the Kubwa Grade 1 Area Court.
