The government of Switzerland has sued Nigeria at the International Court for detaining, San Padre Pio, a Swiss ship accused of diesel smuggling.
The ship was detained on January 23, 2018 but EFCC is yet to charge those arrested to court although the ship's captain claimed he had all the necessary papers.
Meanwhile, public activist and lawyer, Femi Falana SAN, has raised alarm that Nigeria faces many more similar suits because the Navy has detained not less than 150 people without trial, some of them held for over two years. Read it at Nigerialawyer.
