To register sim cards now you need NIN

According to  a directive from the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Mr. Isah Pantami, to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)  registration of sim cards in the country will now be accompanied by a National Identity Number (NIN). Nigerians are expected to updated their already registered sim cards with a NIN by December 1, 2020. Foreigners will register with their international passport or visa numbers. Also no one is allowed to own more than 3 sim cards. This is part of a new security measure by the Federal Government. Read more details at theNation.
