According to the Punch, after recording at least 36 months of consecutive growth, economic activities contracted in 13 surveyed subsectors including manufacturing, production, food and transportation equipment. Only the electrical equipment subsector experienced growth. This is according to the statistics department of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
