Following the attack made on protesters in Lagos, some protesters have hired bouncers and private securities to bolster the confidence of participants of the demonstration as well as increase security at their protest grounds.
Thugs suspected to be members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, invaded the protest ground to attack the #EndSARS protesters while the demonstration was on in the Ikeja area of the state around 8am. Some Nigerians condemned the attack alleging that the hoodlums were sponsored by the state government but the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, condemned the attack on the protesters in a series of tweets and assured the youth that they would be protected by security agents.
