Funke Akindele and hubby enjoy State Pardon for COVID-19 convictions
Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has granted state pardon to Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, aka Jenifa, and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, who were convicted and sentenced to community service for holding a crowded house birthday party in April in breach of government’s COVID-19 prevention protocols.
Kayode Oyekanmi, the Director of Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, in a statement quoted the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), as stating that the governor acted in pursuant to Section 212 (1) & (2) of the 1999 Constitution. He revealed that the governor also, on the same note, granted amnesty to 56 inmates from various correctional centres in the state and ordered their release using ill-health and old age as parameters. The governor adviced them to go ahead and become better and law abiding citizens of the nation.

Deji Adeyanju calls Naira Marley "coward" over cancelled protest
Following Naira Marley's cancellation of the #EndSARSbrutality protest he planned to lead, Activist, Deji Adeyanju has described him as a ''coward''. Deji said it's only Nigerians that can save themselves.
Naira Marley had on Monday, October 5 announced he was planning to lead a protest against SARS brutality. ByTuesday morning, however, the singer announced the protest has been cancelled and that he will be engaging the police spokesperson, Frank Mba, in an Instagram live chat.

Naira Marley cancels End-FSARS protest
Following his planned protest against the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police over alleged brutality on Nigerians by it's personnels, the Nigerian artiste, Naira Marley on Tuesday announced the cancellation of the protest.
Naira Marley in a tweet said “We won’t be protesting anymore because there’s a lot of changes being made right now,” as a Marlian we will give them a week to see the changes and if there’s no changes we will start a mass protest.”

President Muhammadu Buhari had in a tweet wished American President, Donald Trump and wife, a fast recovery from COVID-19, but the Nigerian pop star, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, asked the president to focus more on issues affecting the country and its youth rather than matters that concern America.
Wizkid on Sunday joined the social media #EndSARS campaign by calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to protect Nigerians as SARS are still killing innocent Nigerian youths on a daily. He also tackled a tweet from the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, asking him to do something about SARS brutality on Nigerian youths, so that Nigerian youths can be proud of him.

Actress Chacha Eke denies domestic violence in her marriage
Nigerian Actress Chacha Eke Faani has dismissed reports that her 7-year marriage to her husband, Austin Faani, ended as a result of domestic violence.
In a new video she posted on her Instagram handle, Cha-Cha made it known that her husband Austin Faani, has never laid hands on her or assaulted her in any way. She disclosed that she's currently in a hospital at Delta State receiving treatments as Psychiatric doctors diagnosed her of Bipolar disorder.

The Nigerian Celebrity and singer had on Thursday announced on her Instagram handle of the endorsement deal she and her son, Jamil bagged with Twisco, a chocolate drink company. Tiwa, stated that she is very peaky when it comes to deals involving her son, hence "Twisco is a good one", she said.
