Following the attacks made on #EndSARS protesters by thugs in Lagos and Abuja recently, the Nigerian Bar Association and civil rights groups amongst others, on Wednesday strongly condemned such attacks.
The pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, while condemning the attacks, stated that they reflected the divisive nature of President Muhammadu Buhari's regime, “A government that would mobilise an ethnic line on protests against police brutality is a threat against the unity of the country and will run the country towards implosion", it said. Kano and Kogi states youths are also said to have joined the #EndSARS protest against police brutality and seeking for a Reform of the Nigerian Police force.
