Court remands Sen. Ndume at Kuje Prisons as Maina flees bail - Odinkalu reacts

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday ordered that the Senate Chairman on Army, Senator  Mohammed Ali Ndume be remanded at the Kuje Correctional facility for failing to produce Mr Abdulrasheed Maina, who he stood as surety for. The ex- pension boss, Maina has jumped bail according to court.

Reacting to this development, a Nigerian Human Rights Activist, and Lawyer, Chidi Odinkalu tweeted, "Nigeria is an utterly predictable spectacle: So this guy, Maina, standing trial for humongous plunder and always known to be a huge Flight Risk, vanished from the face of the earth? Meanwhile, @HQNigerianArmy, @PoliceNG, @MalamiSan only care abt #EndSARS"?
