The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has disclosed that the active users of telecommunications services in the country stood at 199 million, as of July 2020, the new figure is an increase of about 15 million from 184 million subscribers, in the previous year.
NCC said that there is also an increase in the access to communication services across the country. “The country’s teledensity, which measures the number of active telephone connections per 100 inhabitants living within an area, also increased to 104.41 per cent compared to 96.76 per cent in December 2019.”
