Emila Sunday who claimed to be 21 years old and hails from Akwa Ibom State, has been arrested for attempting to sell her own baby for N150, 000 in Anambra State.
Police operatives attached to Ojoto Division in Anambra State arrested Emila, for attempting to sell her three months old baby boy at Ire-village Ojoto for N150, 000 on Tuesday, November 24. When interrogated, the suspect claimed she decided to sell her child due to hardship. The spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said the rescued baby is in good condition and that further investigation is ongoing.
