Airlines flouting Covid-19 Protocols for UK, SA to pay $3500 per Passenger - NCAA

The Nigerian government through Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 has reviewed the quarantine protocols for airlines carrying travellers from UK and SA.

An All Operators Letter (AOL) signed by the Director-General of NCAA Captain Musa Nuhu yesterday read, “With the recent spike in cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria and the reported transmissible new variant of the virus in the United Kingdom and South Africa" passengers originating from both the UK and SA would be received and processed separately by public health authorities.

The Federal Government will also now fine airlines $3,500 per passenger for non-compliance with Covid-19 protocols. Such passengers may also be returned to their point of origin if they're non-Nigerians. The new protocol takes effect from Monday December 28, 2020.
