WhatsApp has extended the deadline by which its two billion users must either accept its updated terms and conditions or stop using their messaging service. The initial deadline date was February 8, but WhatsApp said it's users now have until 15 May to take action.
This is coming after the firm was criticised for sending the notification, which seemed to suggest changes to the data it would share with its parent company Facebook. WhatsApp clarified there had been “confusion” about its message, as millions of people around the world had migrated to alternative encrypted messaging apps such as Signal and Telegram.
