The tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has been extended by President Muhammadu Buhari by three months. The IGP was expected to leave office on Monday, February 1, following the end 0f his tenure.
The minister of Police affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi, confirmed the development to state house correspondents on Thursday at the presidential villa, Abuja. The Minister noted that, the president said the extension was necessary to give room for the proper selection of a successor.
