Following some controversial comments made by the embattled Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, in his days as an Imam, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the President to relieve the minister of his job if he fails to resign.Pantami is currently under fire over his support of global terrorist groups, Al-Qaeda and Taliban.
Though the minister had renounced the past controversial comments on terrorist groups, saying that he was young when he made the radical comments and he is now mature and now knows better, PDP says it would be wrong to continue keeping him as a member of the Federal Executive Council and Nigerians have reiterated this view on Twitter. As at 10AM this Sunday Morning, the hashtag # Pantami must resign trends as number on Twitter.
