Another ASUU strike looms as Union accuse FG of breach of payment agreements



While the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is accusing the Federal Government (FG) of not paying lecturers earned allowances, appointing non-graduates into universities governing boards and refusal to pay salaries using the UTAS platform, the FG denies the allegations saying  it never agreed to abandon the Integrated Payment and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) for the ASUU preferred UTAS as the latter does not deduct tax before payments. The FG also said it is in the process of writing ASUU to be specific in the issues raised like mention the non-graduates in the governing boards as alleged.
