Minister
of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, speaking during a visit of the delegation of Nigerian in
Diaspora Organisation (NIDO), UK chapter, to his office on
Tuesday has
admonished the Nigerian in Diaspora to stop sponsoring secessionist groups. “It
is alarming and disappointing that some Nigerians in Diaspora still rely on
platforms that peddle fake news and misinformation about Nigeria,” Mohammed
said. I, therefore, want to use this opportunity to appeal to NIDO to seize the
initiative from those who are bent on painting Nigeria bad in the comity of
nations,´he said. He also commended NIDO members for their patriotism and
mentioned that the FG is aware of the security challenges in the country and is
working to fix them.
