According to a statement released on Wednesday, August 11 by the spokesperson of the lawyers, Sunusi Bappah Salisu, 31 volunteer lawyers drawn across all the 19 northern states and religions have offered to render free legal services for the preservation of embattled DCP Abba Kyari’s fundamental rights that might be potentially jeopardized by his alleged indictment by a court in the United States of America. They plan to critically review the procedures adopted by the FBI to get the US Court to indict Kyari on allegations of involvement in charges filed against a suspected fraudster, Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi. Kyari was indicted for collecting N8million bribe to use his high office to act illegally in favour of Hushpuppi.
