335 Boko Haram Fighters surrender to Army, apologise to Nigerians




According to the Nigerian Army, over one hundred Boko Haram fighters and their families have surrendered to its troops under the current Operation Hadin Kai. Army spokesperson, Onyema Nwachukwu, shared photos of the fighters. They are believed to have surrendered due to the recent intensified attack by the army on their hideouts.General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, Brigadier-General Abdulwahab Adelokun Eyitayo, received them at the Army Headquarters 21 Special Armoured Brigade Bama on Saturday. He enjoined them to preach repentance to their fellow fighters while distributing new clothes and provisions to the 335 Fighters, 746 women and children. A chief bomb expert was among the surrendering Boko Haram fighters.
