FG has received the 176,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 Vaccine

Nigeria has received the 176,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 Vaccine said to be safe as well as effective against the new and deadlier Delta variant.  The doses were acquired  as part of the Africa Union (AU)  monthly shipments of the 400m doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine  through the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) to member-states. AVAT is an initiative by the AU member-states to join their purchasing power for a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine with longer shelf-life and favourable storage conditions in an agreement with Johnson & Johnson. The vaccines are also reported to be partly manufactured in Africa.
