Tension in Edo over plans to crown the Sultan of Shuwa Arab in the state

PMNews Nigeria reports here’s tension in Benin, Edo state following the plans by some Shuwa Arabs, an ethnic group from Borno, to crown Idris Adanno as the Sultan of Shuwa Arab of Edo State. The invitation sighted on Facebook revealed that the coronation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, 21 August, 2021, at Rialto Hotel, a hotel owned by Benin Duke, Osazuwa Irudiase. Residents have described the coronation as an attempt by people who are bent on causing chaos and vowed not to let it happen.
