Lawyer up! This law firm is helping SMEs take care of business by answering your business questions for free every Monday Evening on WhatsApp

Below are excerpts from our interview with a lawyer from Nnanta Chambers, a law firm with the innovative concept to give useful business information to SMEs owners for free.

So tell us more about yourself

I’m a multi-linguist lawyer who had her legal training at University of Nigeria (UNN), finished with a Second Class-Upper Division and attended Law School in Enugu before Call to the Nigerian Bar in 2007 in Abuja. My working career started with Lufem Group of Companies where I was Company Secretary managing over 80 employees and rendering statutory returns to CAC at prescribed times. I also practiced litigation appearing with the wonderful Yunus Ustaz Usman (SAN) before setting up as a corporate lawyer under Nigerian business law.

So you practice exclusively in the area of business law?

Absolutely. We help business people incorporate their business and take care of their assets so they can enjoy peace of mind. We practice exclusively in the area of Nigerian business law, with a sharp focus on quickly obtaining business licences, certificates or permits. As jack of one trade, we provide the services of a great law firm at a competitive price.

We would like to spread the word on your free legal advice for SMEs you host on Monday evenings.

Alright. It is one of the best ways that we at Nnanta Chambers are inspired to give back to the entrepreneurs that provide much needed jobs for curbing unemployment in the country. It is an interactive session where our senior lawyers clarify business issues for participants in real time. It is helpful, free information available to every Nigerian business owner on Whatsapp. We are creating a useful mobile resource for current Nigerian businesses information such that even if you don’t ask a question, you can learn a lot by reading the answers to other people’s questions.
Our chat takes place Monday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 pm West African Time. More details can be found on our website www.nchambers.com

That’s good to note. In what other innovative ways are you promoting business people?

We are harnessing technology to offer convenient services nationwide. From our chat to our website’s Clients Log in, to use of electronic signatures so business can be done wherever there is internet, to accepting electronic payment from online platforms using Mastercard and Visa, including Remita.

As a resident, what do you think of Kubwa?

It has been said that we are the fastest growng suburb in Africa. (Laughs) That will be worthy. I love the fast pace of development and business expansions around here.
