Mr. John Gabaya of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner of last Saturday's concluding elections for Chairman of Bwari Area Council.
He is said to be promising that he will treat everyone equally irrespective of tribe or religion. He is also said to be passionate about fixing the infrastructure deficit (especially roads) in the Area Council while empowering women and youth to be self-employed.
Mr. Gabaya succeeds Mr. Musa Dikko of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
