Your Area Council Chair to be honoured with novelty match

It might interest you to know that your new Area Council Chairman is well known for his love for football game and in his honour, the FCT Football Coaches Association will hold a novelty match between them and their counterparts in Bwari Area Council. Dr John Gabaya is a 2^nd Vice-Chairman of the Association and according to Mr. Godwin Bamigboye, the Chairman of the association who spoke to Dailytrust, inspired this honour with his untiring support for football. The match will take place on July 28 and the venue is the Bwari Township Stadium.

FCT Commissioner of Police inaugurates plan to bring theft, one chance robbery, cultism and drugs in the FCT to barest minimum

As part of efforts to improve on police service delivery, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, has inaugurated the 2019 Policing Plan to address the ongoing security challenges at Bwari Area Council, Abuja. The plan covers theft, one chance robbery, cultism and drugs in the FCT with crime fighting strategies capable of reducing them to the barest minimum. At the event, Bashir Olasumbo, National Policing Adviser, Police Community Relations Committee addressed the issue of lack of trust between the people and the police. He vowed that the police was ready to serve better and urged Abuja residents to to call the emergency numbers listed on the plan’s pamphlet in time of distress.
