Wole Soyinka, Shehu Sani, Chidi Odinkalu and Deji Adeyanju show Sowore solidarity in court today

The trial of Omoyele Sowore, the #RevolutionNow activist of Sahara Reporters fame, for treasonable felony resumed today before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu at the Federal High Court Abuja with the greatest show of solidarity so far. Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, former senator Shehu Sani, human rights activist, Prof. Chiding Odinkalu and civil rights activist, Deji Adeyanju were in court to make sure Sowore and his co-accused,  Olawale Bakare, did not walk alone. The trial, however, did not go on and Justice Ojukwu awarded a N200,000 cost against the Federal Government for filing frivolous applications to delay the suit. The case was later adjourned to Feb. 13th, 2020 for arraignment. Read more details at Thisdaylive.
